How Did I Get Here?

Building exceptional homes requires more than expertise. It requires advocacy.

I didn't set out to become an owner's representative. I arrived here by spending decades inside the process — seeing what creates exceptional homes, and what puts them at risk.

For years, I watched homeowners begin their projects with a clear vision, high expectations, and the belief that every detail would be executed exactly as promised. Yet too often, the finished home fell short of the original vision.

Not because the vision was unrealistic. Not because the investment was insufficient. But because the process lacked the level of oversight, communication, accountability, and advocacy required to protect it.

The truth is, the difference between the home a homeowner imagines and the home they ultimately receive is often determined long before the final walkthrough.

It is determined in the planning. The coordination. The decisions made early in the process. The accountability established before construction begins.

By the time the finishes are installed and the craftsmanship becomes visible, countless decisions have already shaped the outcome.

I'm Kenneth Tarczewski, founder of The Private Build Group.

Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to work across many areas of business, construction, operations, and high-end craftsmanship. Each experience has shaped the way I view luxury home building today: the most successful projects are not simply built with quality materials and talented professionals — they are built with accountability, attention to detail, and someone dedicated to protecting the owner's vision.

My journey began by learning how organizations operate, how teams perform, and how to solve complex problems when expectations are high. Over the years, I developed a passion for identifying challenges early, creating solutions, and bringing structure to situations where millions of dollars and important decisions are at stake.

That passion eventually led me into the world of luxury craftsmanship.

As a business owner and later as Director of Operations for a prominent custom carpentry company serving Southwest Florida's luxury market — including the Port Royal community — I worked directly with homeowners, architects, designers, and builders to create custom interior spaces where every detail mattered.

In high-end construction, the difference between good and exceptional is often found in the details most people never see — the precision of the carpentry, the alignment of every joint, the quality of the finishes, and the countless hours of planning required to achieve perfection.

I learned firsthand that the most important part of a home is what you experience every day.

The finishes you touch. The craftsmanship you see. The details that define how a home feels.

Those elements represent countless decisions, countless hours of skilled labor, and a significant investment from the homeowner. They deserve to be protected.

But protecting those final details requires understanding everything that happens before them.

Luxury homes are built through thousands of decisions involving architects, designers, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, budgets, schedules, and changing circumstances. Without proper oversight, even the smallest disconnect can impact quality, cost, and the homeowner's original vision.

After years of working alongside builders and seeing the complexities of luxury construction, I recognized a growing need: homeowners needed someone exclusively representing their interests.

Someone who understood construction from the inside, but who was not tied to the builder, subcontractors, or vendors.

Someone sitting on their side of the table.

That is why I created The Private Build Group.

My mission is simple: to serve as a Private Owner's Representative for those building exceptional homes in St. Louis and Naples — providing the experience, oversight, and advocacy required to protect their investment and vision throughout the entire construction process.

Multimillion-dollar estates attract multimillion-dollar problems. Without experienced representation, even the most carefully planned projects can face costly mistakes, unnecessary delays, communication failures, and decisions that compromise the original vision.

My role is to help identify those risks before they become problems.

I believe a luxury home should be more than completed — it should be executed exactly as envisioned.

Every detail should reflect the quality, craftsmanship, and investment that went into creating it.

Your home represents your vision, your lifestyle, and your legacy. My responsibility is to help protect it.
